The elevator jolted — then froze between floors.
Just me and her.
She laughed softly. “Well… guess we’re stuck.”
She stepped closer than necessary, close enough that I could smell her perfume — warm, dangerous, deliberate.
“You always avoid eye contact in meetings,” she said.
“Do I make you nervous?”
The emergency lights flickered.
Her hand slid onto my tie — slowly.
“Good,” she whispered.
